Who we are

Mr. Taxes Pro is a tax preparation, tax planning and accounting practice in Oakland Park, Florida. This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers mrtaxespro.com. Information you give us as a tax client is also protected by the federal rules that govern tax preparers, described below.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us through the website:

Contact form: your first and last name, phone number, email address, the service you are asking about, your message, and whether you agreed to receive text messages.
Newsletter signup: your name and email address.
Tax scorecard: your answers to the scorecard questions and the contact details you enter to receive your results.
Appointment booking: the name, phone number, email address and appointment details you enter in our booking calendar.

We do not run advertising trackers or analytics tools on this website.

What we do not want through the website

Please do not send Social Security numbers, tax documents, bank details or other sensitive financial information through any form on this website. When we need documents from you, we will send you a secure upload link.

How we use it

To answer your message and follow up on your request.
To schedule, confirm and remind you about appointments.
To send the Mr. Taxes Monthly newsletter, if you signed up for it.
To send text messages, if you agreed to receive them.
To keep records of the consent you gave us.

We do not sell your personal information.

Text messages

If you check the consent box on our contact form, we may text you about your inquiry, appointments and our services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.

Who helps us run the website

We use a small number of service providers to operate this site. They process information only to provide their service to us:

Netlify hosts the website and receives form submissions.
LeadConnector (GoHighLevel) runs our booking calendar, and sends appointment confirmations, reminders, emails and text messages.
Google provides the embedded map and the fonts used on this site. Loading them shares basic technical information, such as your IP address, with Google.

Our booking calendar is provided by LeadConnector and may use cookies needed for it to work. We may also disclose information when required by law.

If you become a client

Tax return information is protected by federal law. As a tax preparer, we are required to keep it confidential and may not use or disclose it without your consent, except as the law permits. We maintain safeguards for the client information we hold, and we only ask for the documents we need to do the work.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry, booking and newsletter information for as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it to us, and client records for as long as tax and professional record-keeping rules require.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link at the bottom of any issue.
Stop text messages by replying STOP.
Ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us below. Some records we are required to keep.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information through it.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
